Perished, lifting or mouldy silicone? We strip it out and reseal properly - no shortcuts, no over-caulking.
Silicone is the flexible joint that seals the movement points in your shower - the corners, the wall-to-floor junction, around the screen. Over time it hardens, shrinks and lifts, and mould grows behind the bead where no spray can reach. Once it lifts, water tracks in behind it every single shower.
Running a new bead over old silicone never lasts. Done properly, resealing is a strip-and-replace job:
If your grout is sound and only the silicone has failed, resealing alone does the job. But silicone and grout usually age together - if the grout is cracking or drummy too, a new bead of silicone won't stop the water on its own. We assess both and quote what the job actually needs - nothing more. See our regrouting services and fixed prices if the grout needs attention too.
If our assessment shows water is getting through the waterproofing membrane or coming from plumbing, new silicone won't fix it - and we'll say so. Structural waterproofing and plumbing are licensed trades, and we'll point you to the right specialist rather than sell you a job that won't solve your problem.
Every resealing job is quoted upfront - a fixed price, agreed before we start, with a written warranty on the workmanship. Most resealing work is completed in a single visit, and your shower is back in use as soon as the silicone cures. Need grout repair as well? We'll quote both together.
